Screening of "The Earth is Blue as an Orange" at KTU
On March 27th 2024 was organised at KTU the screening of the film "The Earth is Blue as an Orange", directed by Iryna Tsilyk in 2020. We had the honour of welcoming Hanna and her daughter, main characters in the film, to present their personal experience with the war and the shooting of the film. It was followed by a discussion.
During the discussion, participants from Ukraine shared their memories and their feelings about the story: when a situation forces people to leave their home country. Strength, family and faith were the most important aspects they identified as the things that keep them moving forward in life and stay positive for the future.
A sensitive film about family life on the frontline encouraged participants to reflect on the things that matter most in this world and how fragile everything we have is.
