Feedback on the event "Citizen Lab for Refugee Entrepreneurs in Lithuania" at KTU

On March 19th, 2025, the KTU School of Economics and Business hosted the Citizen Lab for Refugee Entrepreneurs, an insightful lecture featuring experts who work closely with refugee entrepreneurs in Lithuania.
The event shed light on the challenges refugees face when starting businesses, the support systems available, and the significant role entrepreneurship plays in integration and economic growth.
The lecture was led by Živilė Paužaitė, Head of Quality at Tech-Park Kaunas, and Viktoriia Palahniuk, Researcher and Project Manager at the Refugee Council of Lithuania.
Drawing from their professional experience, they discussed real-world obstacles refugee entrepreneurs encounter, explored available financial and mentorship support, and highlighted how fostering entrepreneurship among refugees contributes to a more inclusive and resilient economy.
The event attracted students, professionals, and social entrepreneurship enthusiasts. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on innovative approaches to refugee business development, gaining deeper insights into the intersection of entrepreneurship and social inclusion.
