Simona Zavratnik, University of Ljubljana

Simona Zavratnik is an associate professor of sociology and a researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences (University of Ljubljana) in the Center for Spatial Sociology. She deals with issues of migration and refugees, social minorities and inequality, globalization, and social movements and rebellions. She published sociological articles on these issues in domestic and international social science journals and anthologies and presented analyses at conferences. As a visiting researcher, she won a grant from the German government (DAAD) at the University of Frankfurt (2013). She also lectured at the Ohio State University in Columbus, USA (2016), at the Panteion University of Social and Political Studies in Athens (2018) and University in Medullin, Colombia (2023).
