Prof. Pavlo Zhezhnych, Sc.D., Ph.D., is the Vice-Rector for Education and Informatization of Lviv Polytechnic National University. His research interests include relational databases, semantically open information systems, Internet technologies, relational databases, time-dependent databases, web technologies, data processing, data analysis, content analysis, open science. Currently, Pavlo is an institutional coordinator of several Erasmus+ projects aimed at helping Ukrainian refugees and mitigating the war effects as “Open Practices, Transparency and Integrity for Modern Academia” (OPTIMA), “Open science for Ukrainian higher education system” (Open4UA)“, Supporting Ukraine through citizen engagement at Baltic Universities” (Baltics4UA), and others. In particular, he implements the principles of open science in Ukraine and the EU.
