Pr. Dr. Serafina Morrin, Catholic University of Applied Sciences Berlin

Pr. Dr. Serafina Morrin is a Professor of Childhood Education and Inclusion at the Catholic University of Applied Social Sciences in Berlin. She has been working for several years in language support with children recently immigrated to Germany. As a trained actress, prior to this she worked in the field of theatre-in-education.

In her research, she explores questions of heterogeneity and migration, with her work involving a diversity-conscious aesthetic and theatrical-performative approach. Her further research areas are voluntary work with refugees and inclusive education.

What I find exciting about the project as a whole is the goal of achieving inclusive higher education in order to counter the ongoing refugee crises. I am particularly interested in the exchange at the round tables, the international meetings and the various research projects on the topic of inclusive higher education. But I also imagine the exchange about the experiences of civic society actors to be very beneficial.
